Headstrong twelve-year-old Natalie spends a summer helping take care of her new baby cousin. Natalie joins her flaky aunt Pris and the new baby on a small, isolated island off the Maine coast. One morning, while digging in their garden, Natalie and Pris make a gruesome discovery. This clue leads them to unravel the island’s deeply hidden secret - a murder - and come to the attention of her menacing neighbor.
